Closer를 보다.


온통 우수에 젖은 듯한 노래, 우연한 만남을 그려내는 느린 화면.
시작부터 온통 아름다운 사랑의 이야기를 그려낼듯했던 감독은
나의 따분한 예측을 충족시켜주지 않았다.


아마도 그는 아름다운 사랑의 이면을 그려내는편이
좀더 사랑에 대하여  잘 표현해 낼 수 있을 것이라고  생각했을런
지도 모른다.


사랑하는 사람들은 헤어진다.
그 처음 만남이 얼마나 아름다웠다거나, 그들의 사랑이 얼마나
행복했었다거나.. 그런것과는 상관없이 그들은 헤어진다.
그리고 그 헤어짐의 시간은 쉽지 않다.

서로의 마음속에 무자비한 상처만을 남기고 떠나버리면 차라리
쉬우련만, 사랑이라는 기억이 남아있는 사람에게는 상처를입는것
은 쉬울지 몰라도 상처를 입히는 일은 결코 쉽지 않다.

하지만.. 정녕 헤어지는 시간에서는 결국 그동안 두사람의 모든
모습이 담겨져 나온다.  그들의 이야기 방식, 그들의 편안함의
정도, 보이지 않게 그들을 가로막고 있었던 어떤 벽.


결국 그들은 헤어진다.
이미 설레임이 아닌, 이미 뜨거움이 아닌 일상의 편안함으로
변해버린 사랑을 버리거나 배신하고 싶어하지는 않지만,
좀더 강한 이끌림으로 나아간다. 좀더 자신이 사랑하고 싶어하는
쪽으로 거부할수 없이 끌리어 들어간다.

그리곤 내뱉는다.


"난 좀더 행복해지길 원할 뿐이야."
